The Amana-Goodman 0130F00008S Ignitor is a genuine OEM replacement ignitor intended for use with various Goodman, Janitrol, and Amana furnaces. This gas furnace hot surface ignitor has an M-shaped silicon nitride element (much durable than silicon carbide material) that glows red hot to ignite the furnace chamber as electricity passes through the ignitor. Highly reliable, yet inexpensive, this OEM ignitor is the most commonly used electronic ignition system used today.
